Where am i?

hmm.

i moved to Singapore already.
that's one biggest reason why i kinda temporarily left my blogging world.
preparing for everything.

so urmm. i'm going to work here permanently.
i'm still in training classes for like 3.5 months.

so how's your days?

i'm trying to get my self back into this world.

i live with other 3 Indonesian who works here as well.
i live in Tampines.

hmm.
today i'm just here sitting and playing internet.
lovely breezy day.

i need things here at my new rent apartment,
- bed sheets for queen size
- bed cover from IKEA (a black or purple will do!)
- water boiler
- MONEY. big time!
- mirror. oh goodness!

it's like 5 pm and i am definitely hungry. it's weird since i just can't stop my hunger today.

i'm craving for so many foods..

Does Your Breast Healthy? (All Women Must Read)

as i told in my posts before,
my eldest sister passed away because of a disease which is all you know, BREAST CANCER.
it was metastasized and caused her a massive gastrointestinal bleeding.

so, i did a little research about basic knowledge of breast cancer.

acknowledge yourself with these informations.
1. What can cause breast cancer?
2. How to do a Breast Self-Exam (BSE)?

What Can Cause Breast Cancer?
"Cancer in general is a disease of aging, and breast cancer is probably caused by an error in gene replication—the older we get, the more error prone we get," says Ramona F. Swaby, MD, a medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia.

Indeed, a woman’s chance of getting breast cancer doesn’t rise to the terrifying one in eight until she’s reached 85 years of age.
If you’re a woman under 40, for instance, your risk is much lower: 1 in 233.

Risk factors you cannot change:
Gender: Simply being a woman is the main risk for breast cancer. While men also get the disease, it is about 100 times more common in women than in men.

Age: The chance of getting breast cancer goes up as a woman gets older. About 2 out of 3 women with invasive breast cancer are age 55 or older when the cancer is found.

Genetic risk factors: About 5% to 10% of breast cancers are thought to be linked to inherited changes (mutations) in certain genes. The most common gene changes are those of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. Women with these gene changes have up to an 80% chance of getting breast cancer during their lifetimes. Other gene changes may raise breast cancer risk as well.

Family history: Breast cancer risk is higher among women whose close blood relatives have this disease. The relatives can be from either the mother's or father's side of the family. Having a mother, sister, or daughter with breast cancer about doubles a woman's risk. (It's important to note that 70% to 80% of women who get breast cancer do not have a family history of this disease.)

Personal history of breast cancer: A woman with cancer in one breast has a greater chance of getting a new cancer in the other breast or in another part of the same breast. This is different from a return of the first cancer (which is called recurrence).

Race: White women are slightly more likely to get breast cancer than are African-American women. But African American women are more likely to die of this cancer. At least part of the reason seems to be because African-American women have faster growing tumors. Asian, Hispanic, and American Indian women have a lower risk of getting breast cancer.

Dense breast tissue: Dense breast tissue means there is more glandular tissue and less fatty tissue. Women with denser breast tissue have a higher risk of breast cancer. Dense breast tissue can also make it harder for doctors to spot problems on mammograms.

Menstrual periods: Women who began having periods early (before age 12) or who went through the change of life (menopause) after the age of 55 have a slightly increased risk of breast cancer. They have had more menstrual periods and as a result have been exposed to more of the hormones estrogen and progesterone.

Earlier breast radiation: Women who have had radiation treatment to the chest area (as treatment for another cancer) earlier in life have a greatly increased risk of breast cancer.

Treatment with DES: In the past, some pregnant women were given the drug DES (diethylstilbestrol) because it was thought to lower their chances of losing the baby (miscarriage). Recent studies have shown that these women (and their daughters who were exposed to DES while in the womb), have a slightly increased risk of getting breast cancer. Breast cancer risk and lifestyle choices:
Not having children or having them later in life: Women who have had not had children, or who had their first child after age 30, have a slightly higher risk of breast cancer. Being pregnant more than once and at an early age reduces breast cancer risk. Pregnancy reduces a woman's total number of lifetime menstrual cycles, which may be the reason for this effect.

Recent use of birth control pills: Studies have found that women who are using birth control pills have a slightly greater risk of breast cancer than women who have never used them. Women who stopped using the pill more than 10 years ago do not seem to have any increased risk. It's a good idea to talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of birth control pills.

Postmenopausal hormone therapy (PHT): Postmenopausal hormone therapy (also known as hormone replacement therapy or HRT), has been used for many years to help relieve symptoms of menopause and to help prevent thinning of the bones (osteoporosis). There are 2 main types of PHT. For women who still have a womb (uterus), doctors generally prescribe estrogen and progesterone (known as combined PHT). Estrogen alone can increase the risk of cancer of the uterus, so progesterone is added to help prevent this. For women who no longer have a uterus (those who've had a hysterectomy), estrogen alone can be prescribed. This is commonly known as estrogen replacement therapy (ERT).

Combined PHT: It has become clear that long-term use (several years or more) of combined PHT increases the risk of breast cancer and may increase the chances of dying of breast cancer. The breast cancer may also be found at a more advanced stage, perhaps because PHT seems to reduce the effectiveness of mammograms. Five years after stopping PHT, the breast cancer risk seems to drop back to normal.

ERT: The use of estrogen alone does not seem to increase the risk of developing breast cancer much, if at all. But when used long-term (for more than 10 years), some studies have found that ERT increases the risk of ovarian and breast cancer.

At this time, there are few strong reasons to use PHT, other than for short-term relief of menopausal symptoms. Because there are other factors to think about, you should talk with your doctor about the pros and cons of using PHT. If a woman and her doctor decide to try PHT for symptoms of menopause, it is usually best to use it at the lowest dose that works for her and for as short a time as possible.

Not breast-feeding: Some studies have shown that breast-feeding slightly lowers breast cancer risk, especially if the breast-feeding lasts 1½ to 2 years. This could be because breast-feeding lowers a woman's total number of menstrual periods, as does pregnancy

Alcohol: Use of alcohol is clearly linked to an increased risk of getting breast cancer. Women who have one drink a day have a very small increased risk. Those who have 2 to 5 drinks daily have about 1½ times the risk of women who drink no alcohol. The American Cancer Society suggests limiting the amount you drink to one drink a day.

Being overweight or obese: Being overweight or obese is linked to a higher risk of breast cancer, especially for women after change of life and if the weight gain took place during adulthood. Also, the risk seems to be higher if the extra fat is in the waist area. But the link between weight and breast cancer risk is complex, and studies of fat in the diet as it relates to breast cancer risk have often given conflicting results. The American Cancer Society recommends you maintain a healthy weight throughout your life and avoid gaining too much weight.

Lack of exercise: Studies show that exercise reduces breast cancer risk. The only question is how much exercise is needed. One study found that as little as 1 hour and 15 minutes to 2½ hours of brisk walking per week reduced the risk by 18%. Walking 10 hours a week reduced the risk a little more. The American Cancer Society suggests that you exercise for 45 to 60 minutes 5 or more days a week.

Uncertain risk factors:
High fat diets: Studies of fat in the diet have not clearly shown that this is a breast cancer risk factor. Most studies found that breast cancer is less common in countries where the typical diet is low in fat. On the other hand, many studies of women in the United States have not found breast cancer risk to be linked to how much fat they ate. Researchers are still not sure how to explain this difference. More research is needed to better understand the effect of the types of fat eaten and body weight on breast cancer risk.

The American Cancer Society recommends eating a healthy diet that includes 5 or more servings of vegetables and fruits each day, choosing whole grains over processed (refined) grains, and limiting the amount of processed and red meats.

Antiperspirants and bras: Internet e-mail rumors have suggested that underarm antiperspirants can cause breast cancer. There is very little evidence to support this idea. Also, there is no evidence to support the idea that under wire bras cause breast cancer.

Abortions: Several studies show that induced abortions do not increase the risk of breast cancer. Also, there is no evidence to show a direct link between miscarriages and breast cancer. For more detailed information, see our document, Can Having an Abortion Cause or Contribute to Breast Cancer?

Breast implants: Silicone breast implants can cause scar tissue to form in the breast. But several studies have found that this does not increase breast cancer risk. If you have breast implants, you might need special x-ray pictures during mammograms.

Pollution: A lot of research is being done to learn how the environment might affect breast cancer risk. At this time, research does not show a clear link between breast cancer risk and environmental pollutants such as pesticides and PCBs.

Tobacco Smoke: Most studies have found no link between active cigarette smoking and breast cancer. An issue that continues to be a focus of research is whether secondhand smoke (smoke from another person's cigarette) may increase the risk of breast cancer. But the evidence about secondhand smoke and breast cancer risk in human studies is not clear. In any case, a possible link to breast cancer is yet another reason to avoid being around secondhand smoke.

Night Work: A few studies have suggested that women who work at night (nurses on the night shift, for example) have a higher risk of breast cancer. This is a fairly recent finding, and more studies are being done to look at this issue.

How to do a Breast Self-Exam (BSE)?
It takes practice to perform a thorough breast self-examination. Ask your health professional for tips that can help you perform a breast self-examination correctly.

The best time to examine your breasts is usually one week after your menstrual period begins, when your breast tissue is least likely to be swollen or tender. If your menstrual cycle is irregular, or if you have stopped menstruating due to menopause or the removal of your uterus (hysterectomy), do your examination on a day of the month that's easy to remember. Women who are pregnant or breast-feeding can continue to examine their breasts every month. Breast-feeding mothers can examine their breasts after a feeding or after using a breast pump so that the breasts have as little milk as possible, making the examination easier and more comfortable.

To do a breast self-examination, remove all your clothes above the waist and lie down. The examination is done while lying down so your breast tissue spreads evenly over your chest wall and is as thin as possible, making it much easier to feel all your breast tissue.

Use the pads of the three middle fingers of your left hand—not your fingertips—to check your right breast. Move your fingers slowly in small coin-sized circles.

Use three different levels of pressure to feel of all your breast tissue. Light pressure is needed to feel the tissue close to the skin surface. Medium pressure is used to feel a little deeper, and firm pressure is used to feel your tissue close to your breastbone and ribs. A firm ridge in the lower curve of each breast is normal. Use each pressure level to feel your breast tissue before moving on to the next spot.

Check your entire breast using a lengthwise strip pattern. Feel all of the tissue from the collarbone to the bra line and from the armpit to the breastbone. Start in the armpit and work down to the bottom of the bra line. Move one finger-width toward the middle and work up to the collarbone. Repeat until you have covered the entire breast. Repeat this procedure for your left breast. See an illustration of BSE using a lengthwise strip pattern. The American Cancer Society prefers this method of breast self-examination because it is the best method for finding breast lumps.

2 days ago at the mortuary...
an instrument was played amidst the mourn...

it was a really tough moment for my family..
i can't bear,
it appeared like a dream..
it's all seems unreal..

well, it's really been my first experience at this kind of situation,
seeing her corp.. geez.
it's my sister.. i couldn't even believe it..
hope this is not a time twisting game.
a where-to-hit-the-ham circumstance.

oh, i've been a Christian for abt a whole lifetime..
and i really really sipping in this song,

maybe no one realized..

it's been 4 days since i arrived in San Diego...
and it's been 5 days since my eldest sister passed away.
yes i know, thanks in advance for the sympathy..

it's a long suffering for her,
she suffered from a breast cancer, which was started about 5 years ago.
well, it's still a miracle she survived for these years..

what can i say tho...
these are m family's though moments..
a sibling of mine has gotten home to Father's dwelling place..

no more emails from her,
no more her laughs,
no more talks...

well, we're just human beings..
what comes from Him, comes back to His almighty hands..

i can't say anything more..
it's just,
i'm thankful that His great power and grace fulfill every of us, in every single seconds right now..
and i know, she's now in peace, all the best in His great plans...

Doraemon Ending Versions (with comic strips).

All you guys must know Doraemon?
yes, this world famous japanese manga was ended without an exact ending.
well, i have some info from various sources which describes the ending of this adorable fun comic.

and here are the rumors about its finale series.

* The first and the more optimistic ending was made public by Nobuo Sato several years ago. Doraemon's battery power ran out, and Nobita was given a choice between replacing the battery inside a frozen Doraemon, which would cause it to reset and lose all memory, or await a competent robotics technician who would be able to resurrect the cat-robot one day. Nobita swore that very day to work hard in school, graduate with honours, and become that robotics technician. He successfully resurrected Doraemon in the future as a robotics professor, became successful as an AI developer, and thus lived happily ever after, thus relieving his progeny of the financial burdens that caused Doraemon to be sent to his space-time in the first place. A dōjin manga for this ending was made by a "Tajima T Yasue" in 2005, and it sold 13,000 copies before Shogakukan halted its publication. Tajima apologized to Shogakukan in 2007 and paid an undisclosed amount of money for settlement.

* The second, more pessimistic ending suggests that Nobita Nobi is suffering from autism and that all the characters (including Doraemon) are simply his delusion. The idea that Nobita was a sick and dying little boy who imagined the entire series on his sickbed to help him ease his pain and depression no doubt angered quite a lot of fans. Many Japanese fans staged a protest outside the headquarters of the publisher of the series after learning about this suggestion. The publisher had to issue a public statement that this is not true. (This ending actually correlates to the ending for the series St. Elsewhere, which ended in 1988.)
oh, this one is pathetic. horrible. i agree with those protests.

* The third ending suggests that Nobita fell and hit his head on a rock. He fell into a deep coma, and eventually into a semi-vegetative state. To raise money for an operation to save Nobita, Doraemon sold all the tools and devices in his four-dimensional pocket. However, the operation failed. Doraemon sold all his tools except for one used as a last resort. He used it to enable Nobita to go wherever he wanted, whichever time or era he wished to go. In the end, the very place Nobita wanted to go was heaven.
kinda silly, and 'too easy'. but better than the second one.

* In the March 1973 issue of the magazine Shogaku 4-nensei, Nobita again returns home after losing a fight against Giant. Doraemon then explains that he has to return. Nobita tries to have Doraemon stay but after talking it over with his parents, he accepts Doraemon's departure. They take a last walk in the park. After they split up, Nobita encounters Jaian and gets into a fight again. After a long duel with Nobita trying to win at all costs so that Doraemon can leave without worries, Gian lets Nobita win for not giving up. Doraemon finds Nobita passed out and takes him home. Sitting beside sleeping Nobita and after a moment of thought, Doraemon returns to the future. (It is also found at the last chapter of the manga Book 6).
this one is dissapointing as well. hey, give it a break! get some creative stories, please.

* The animated version is completely similar but lengthened. Nobita finds a box the shape of Doraemon in his drawer. The next day, which happens to be April Fool's day, Nobita is jeered at by Suneo and Jaian, the latter tricking him about Doraemon's return. He happily runs home and asked his mother whether Doraemon came back and finds out the truth. Nobita couldn't stand it and opens the box. Inside of it was a bottle of liquid. He hears Doraemon's voice explaining that the potion is called Uso 800 (Lies 800) it is used to make all untruths the drinker says true. Nobita uses it to play a few tricks on Jaian and Suneo, like first taking cover then say that the weather sure is good, which becomes a lie and it started to rain heavily before he said it is raining heavily and the rain stopped. Jian and Suneo was scared away after a few tricks and when Nobita mentioned what is happening. Nobita was very happy at first but quickly loses interest in the absence of Doraemon. As he walks home, due to his earlier questioning if Doraemon returned or not, his mother asked him if he could find Doraemon, he unwittingly said, in great disappointment, the truth about Doraemon never coming back, just like what Doraemon told Nobita before his departure. Since the potion was still in effect, when he arrives his room he finds Doraemon there, and they have a happy reunion, but due to the effects of the potion, all his greets and joyful words have to be spoken in the opposite way like I am so unhappy that we can never be together again.. The extended ending from the animated series was eventually adapted to the first story of Book 7 in the manga series, with a few changes (i.e. Instead of hearing Doraemon's voice explaining the use of the potion, he finds a card inside the box describing the use of the potion).

Someway, i feel the circumstances i'm living in, is just underestimates me.
it feels like, they ignore my presence, just because they’re consider me as someone who has a bubbly personality.
And they really act as if having a bubbly personality is some kind of childish.

I just can’t comprehend this, people often misjudged me because of that?

But all I know I feel is underestimation. And it stretched to many portions. Well yeah, that’s it.

Hmm. This should be a good flog upon me.
So I should prove that God’s presence in me is NOT nothing, but it has a HUGE influence in my daily life!

So even I’m young, and they think bubbly is childish, it’s a whip for me to choose to be an example, stood up more, firm beside His heart!

Hmm. This time, I’m learning more about humility, being such a bouncy person doesn’t mean I have to be such a child-like one. But bubbly means cheerful, and make better circumstances wherever I am, to show that His love brings me a joyful life. Doesn’t mean without sadness, but just be positive..

hi all... woo.. i was really happy last friday (July 4th). since it was my 23rd birthday..

oh i'm really grateful for that.. for God granted me another chance to live in my 23rd year! hoho.. by the morning, a friend delivered me a big piece of cake at my office.. oh. Black Forest. geez. thanks a bunch!! this is the pic of the cake that a friend delivered me. (actually.. he's an x-boyfriend.. and now turns out to be a friend of mine still. hihi)

my co workers sang for me, took some pictures, and we ate this cake together.. including some doughnuts i brought for them that day.
it was truly splendid moments

not just that, by the time work time was finished, my guy picked me up, then he gave me a little surprise.. another cake!! an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins.. oh cool!!

Sunday Lunch : Penang Bistro.

last sunday me and my guy (i dont know why i like to call him that way here) went to a malay restaurant, at Kebon Sirih for lunch.
it's called Penang Bistro. it's a common fusion asian culinary actually.
well, it was our first time there (he was curious and kinda persuaded me to go there. hahahaha)

for us, we could say... ummm.. good service, average price (for such great ambience and tastes), and an awesome ambience they have there.

here are some pics i took there, but unfortunately i forgot to bring my camera, so i just took it with some phone cam - 2 mp. not too bad after i edited them a bit.

geez. the rice bun is so... 'tiny'.. poor baby, he can't be full wt that portion.

this is the 'mayonnaise prawn'. geez. it's totally odally yummy!
cant stop eating.
the prawn was quite large in size, and tastes really creamy.. yumm..

this is the great ambience i was talking about.
the lights, the views, see, those grey walls are stone made, and there's water falling smoothly on it, so you can imagine how was the breeze we enjoyed there..

this is the 'malay clay pot chicken curry' we ordered.
served on a small hot stove. no more words, perfectly yum yum!!

ok.. i bet you guys are getting hungry right now.... hohohoho.
so.. just try to go there, and hang with your closest fellows.
i recommend this, gorgeous place to eat!

Kungfu Panda!

oh yes i know.. maybe i'm a little bit outdated..
well, it's the thing that my guy was out of town, and what a pity that my friends was not available at all to hang out wt me to the movie.
i insisted them about 3 weeks ago to see this movie, but none of them responded. geez. quite disappointing tho.
but it's olite, now my guy's oledy home and yesterday we went to our fave hang out spot (the Djakarta Theatre) and saw this cute movie. oh i luv u hunny. xixixii.
it was totally hilarious!! huahahaha. rated : 5!!
i already saw a lot of reviews about this fat panda movie. maybe now i'm just going to share more pictures. oh Po was hilarious. i love him!
he's sooooo fat. his tummy. it's even sounded like 'fat' when he do this kungfu styles. ha ha ha.
we couldn't stop laughing!
well, what we learned from this movie is, TRUSTs.
a simple faith can make big change! see what i mean?
enjoy his fatness. hahahahaha. i'm so happy to see Po. he's sooooo fat and full of spirit!

LONELINESS..

If you’re reading this now, I might say u’ve been in this kind of situation before.

Or.. you might being on this station currently?

From what me and my fellows had experienced, being alone is something really irritating. Moreover, several might experience some of frustrating moments.

Do you agree with me, if I say most of WOMEN experience this kind of phase?

At first, I thought I’m just exaggerating after something that’s might seem insignificant to some people.
I tried to seek advice from some of my girls, and they resulted to say the same point.
It’s one of women’s most problematic issues. And we have to overcome this lonesomeness in life, somehow.

Learning from Paul, (well, this why I say most women, not all. I don’t think you dudes experience as painful as we do.. Correct me if I’m wrong.) There’s 3 types of common loneliness (Purpose Driven Life Daily Devotional) :

- Loneliness of separation.

- Loneliness of transitions.

- Loneliness of rejections.

Loneliness of Separation
It’s written that Paul never went anywhere alone; he always had at least one traveling companion. Yet, at the end of his life, he’s in prison in a foreign country and he couldn’t just pick up the phone and reached out and touched somebody.

We can experience the loneliness of separation because of military service, career, or maybe an illness. Many of us have lost our roots, or never had any to begin with, and that can cause loneliness.

What can you do about your loneliness from separation?

Focus on the needs of others – Get your eyes off yourself and focus outward. Look at how you can serve other people.

Focus on your purpose – Even when Paul was isolated in a prison, he wanted other people to know about Jesus. He wanted everybody to know about God’s love. He stopped looking at himself and he looked at how he could still tell others about the good news.

When you’re lonely – Stop building walls. instead, start building bridges!

Instead of saying, “I’m so lonely,”

say, “Father, help me be a friend to people who need a friend. Help me to help lonely people.” That is the antidote for loneliness.

Loneliness of transitions.

The fact is, life is a series of transitions.

We’re born, we grow up, we go to school, we graduate, we get jobs, we change jobs, we retire, we die.

And every time we make a change in life, there’s a good chance we’ll feel lonely.
We can even be lonely in a crowd; it doesn’t make any difference how many people are surrounding us.

It’s our relationship with those people that makes a difference.

How can you face loneliness when you’re in transition?

make good use of your time – Think, “What could I do now that would be difficult if other people were around? What could I do in this time of loneliness that I could not do if there were other people here to interrupt me?” Use your time to do something great for God.

stay focused on your purpose – So that at the end of your life, you can say, like Paul, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7 NIV).

Loneliness of rejections.
Loneliness often comes from the feeling that you’ve been betrayed, deserted, or abandoned.

Paul felt deserted when he first went on trial in Rome. He wrote, “At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them” (2 Timothy 4:16 NIV).

Here’s one of the greatest Christians in history, but no one came to his support! He says, “But everyone deserted me.” He’s on trial for his life; no one comes to speak for his defense.

Yet, Paul didn’t say, “I’ve spent thirty years in the ministry and this is what I get?” No, instead he said, “But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it” (2 Timothy 4:17 NIV).

The Bible teaches that we have emotional needs and one of our greatest emotional needs is to be accepted.

Rejection is often the most devastating form of hurt.

Loneliness is so painful that people will try anything to relieve it.

They take drugs, they get drunk. They go through long lists of short-lived dating relationships. They coop themselves up in their homes with the TV as their only friend.

God says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5 NIV).

Oh yes I know, THEORETICAL things are much easier for us to tell.

In practice, we often get tired or even failed.
That’s why we need God.
We’re just nothing without His presence in our life!!

Frankly, I’m in this station exactly.

It’s terribly frustrating sometimes, and this is really a test to pull my faith back more next to Him!

Truly, I learned a lot about this loneliness thing, and I feel there’s no ‘enough’ to learn to overcome the loneliness.

It comes by over and over again.

Sometimes, if I feel terribly fatigue, I talk to God and tell Him every spot of pain in my feeling.

Somehow, God answers me differently from time to time.

At once, I might get dreadful, and God gave me easers, any small things. He really knows how to make me smile…

And at sometimes, God can disciplinary His own way. And that makes me stronger to realize how much strength I still have left.

These kinds of things, that makes us closer to God in our lonesomeness.

It’s the thing that ONLY God that knows and understands every of our pain!

I truly experience this..

so let’s learn more, be prepared, and RUN THE RACE WITH ENDURANCE!!

first of all, big NO OFFENSE.
this is a post that i wrote in bahasa, coz i found in this languange i can express my feeling more personally. sorry for all foreign visitors..

berikut adalah sebuah pembahasan dan pengeluhan ttg mental orang Indonesia, dari mata seorang perempuan beranjak wanita *piuhh* yag berprofesi sebagai Graphic Designer, dan sangat mencintai keragaman budaya Indonesia. tapi tidak dengan kebanyakan orang2nya.

belakangan tuh pada marak mahasiswa protes BBM naik, merasa univ ndiri gak 'nasionalis' kalo gak ngikut demo, pada ribut2 FPI, rakyat nuntut BBM diturunin, protes proyek busway kok gak berhasil - udah gusur aja, protes SBY gak becus, protes nuntut subsidi pemerintah, kalo banjir gede dateng, nyalahin gubernur DKI kaga becus, protes nuntut sekolah gratis, nuntut pemerintah ini, nuntut pemerintah itu, bla.. bla.. bla... pret!!

iye... emang eneg ngeliatin orang indonesia kaya begitu.
kenyataannya?
dalam kehidupan kecil aja tuh, mental orang indonesia tuh super bobrok!
maap2 kata nih, bukan gw mau mojokin ato ngehina, tapi apa yg gw liat seari2 ya begono.

naek motor - ada motor nyalip dari kanan, dengan suara knalpot "nguengg" memekakkan telinga. kita hampir oleng, ngeliatin dia, malah dia yg marah2. SOK JAGO.

lagi naik motor pulang kerja, merasa sebal dengan motor depan yg jalannya super pelan dan agak gak stabil, *klakson klakson* ga minggir juga.
gw pikir: "ni orang..."

yg nyetir nengok sambil setengah bete, stengah ketawa2.
penumpang motor : total 3 orang cewe aBG, kira2 usia 13-15 taun, kurus, cantik, pake celana super pendek, GAK PAKE HELM, dua yg di blakang ketawa ketiwi sambil SMSan SAMBIL NAEK MOTOR.
yg nyetir? ktawa2 aje. - gak ngerasa bsalah sama skali -
kalo itu ade gw, hajar! *plakk*

jalan di pinggiran, ngeliat ada orang NGELUDAH SEMBARANGAN. rasanya pengen kemplang tuh manusia. lagi2 abang2. kadang ada sih ngko2, om2. mayoritas cowo.
sapa aja deh. GAK MIKIR APAAA???? jorok nya stengah mati! hih!

jalan dikit, 10 meter, ada yg nuang seember sampah bekas dapurnya, ke kali terdekat.
ke tukang tambel ban, katanya "ban dalem mesti diganti nih."
lalu si abang tukang tambel ban buang bungkus kardus bekas ban dalem, *tuing* asal lempar ke tengah2 jalanan gede *iseng2 berhadiah*.
trus, gw dah yg mungutin tuh kardus.. sambil ngomel..
as if BUANG SAMPAH SEMBARANGAN itu indah buat mereka!!
ntar giliran banjir yg disalahin siapa gw tanya???

coba nengok ke daerah PRJ kemayoran. yg katanya mau dipoles jadi mirip sudirman.
belom kelar terealisasi, tengoklah air mancur - air mancur stengah jadi itu.
udah keletekan cat nya.
trus sekelilingnya abis di piloks sama anak2 tidak bertanggung jawab.
mereka2 ini yg selalu jadi orang2 SOK IDEALIS, SOK GRAFITI ART,
katanya 'jangan menghalangi kami para seniman jalanan'
seniman jalanan dengkulmu?!!
lu pikir semua tembok jalanan, properti orang, pager rumah orang itu kaya di BRONX hah??
cari media yg bener kalo lo emang bener kreatif cong!

kalo pulang dari luar negri, perasaan slalu gak tentram.
sampe di airport, petugas "membantu ngangkat koper" itu udah kaya rampok.
cuma tibang ngedorong dari pintu utama ke parkiran minta 20rebu.
lu kira bapak gua punya pohon duit?!!

demen banget sama RASIALISME.
heran guahh! sendirinya gak mau dibeda2in, tapi bawaanya ngatain oraaangggg mulu!
bujukkk dah.

polisi2 aneh di daerah2 tertentu.
bus, mikrolet, segala angkot pokoknya dah, yg pada ngelanggar lalu lintas, kaga ditangkepin.
yg ditangkepin tuh pengendara motor dan mobil pribadi. gimana gak aneh?!
rahasia umum tuh, CARI DUIT, PAK?

ngantri mau naik busway, begitu liat bus dateng, langsung SIKUT KANAN SIKUT KIRI, DORONG SANA SINI, gak peduli sekitar.
prinsip : pokoknya gua harus naek duluan.

jalan2 di mall. tiba2 tercium bau nyengat yg slalu bikin gw pen nampar.
smells like cigar?
geez.
MEROKOK DI DALAM MALL.
terang2 ada tulisan dilarang merokok di dalam mall.
orang2 kaya begini ini yg mau ngajak orang laen ikut2 dia bunuh diri pake asep rokok.
KUTU.
yg bener aja sih?? dalem mall ngerokok.
jangan bilang kalo dia berpendidikan rendah, gw menemukan ABG2 pria nongkrong di cafe bengawan solo, -such kind of starbucks and friends- ngerokok dengan berasep2 dan kecium radius 2 meter.
otaknya pada kemana sih? ketinggalan dirumah ya?
lain kali, otaknya dibawa yah dek.

coba ke ancol, cari pantai yg bersih kaya di Bali.
NONE.
pasirnya dikrubungin sampah.
jijay gak sih??
pantai itu tempat favorit gw.
gak heran orang jakarta mainnya ke mall mulu.
tempat hiburan alaminya semua digusur SAMPAH..

sebagian perusahaan - menjadikan karyawan2nya sebagai MEDIA EKSPLOITASI (hampir demikian jg dgn prusahaan tempat gw kerja).
gaji kecil sekali. bahkan untuk s1.
uang lembur minim skali.
kerjaan kaya kerja rodi
akses internet sangat dibatasi - padahal selaku designer, internet itu sumber inspirasi besar! (yg ini bukan di kantor gw)
asuransi kesehatan gak jelas.
feed back buat karyawan ditekan sekecil mungkin demi keuntungan perusahaan.
u're darn wealthy oledy, big boss.

pertanyaan gw,
emang susah banget ya, nyimpen sampah sampe ketemu tempat sampah baru dibuang??
susah yah nelen ludah sendiri?? sampe harus ngeludah sembarangan??

kalo orang2 begini idup diluar negeri, gw rasa bakal miskin karena denda.
minimal sekali ngeludah didenda 3jeti dah.
disini, mau diatur begimana juga, galakkan rakyatnya.
SOK JAGO lagi.

yahh.. gw ini lahir dan gede di jakarta, baru 23 taun.
bukan berarti posting ini menyatakan gw gak cinta Indonesia, atau gw sempurna.
tapi, gw pengen ajak kita smua mikir.
lo udah nuntut segitu banyak dari pemerintah,
APA YG UDAH LO KASIH BUAT NEGARA?
cuma tuntutan doang? harusnya pada malu.

bukannya pepatah mengatakan "memberi lebih baik daripada menerima" ??
kemana perginya tuh?

kenapa sih orang Indonesia bermental pemberontak segitunya?
padahal, kontribusi mereka buat negara, kalo ditanya, gw jamin mereka cuma bisa ngebela diri.

gw jg gak bisa ngelakuin apa2 buat negara gw.
tapi at least,
gw anti buang sampah sembarangan.
gw anti ngeludah sembarangan.
gw cinta budaya Indonesia dan setiap perbedaannya.
gw berdoa buat negara gw.
gw gak kebanyakan protes.
gw designer, tapi bukan seniman perusak lahan publik.

yah, masih banyak deh.. kebobrokan lainnya.. bisa bikin sesi seminar kali gw.
huehehehe. tapi ya udahlah. segini dulu.

gw cuman pengen ngeluh, mumpung ada medianya. hihi.

Friendship?

WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP?
what do you think it is?

this kind of matter is like a big SLAP on my face.
i can't really describe what friendship really is.
the truth i know, proverbs 17 verse 17 says "A friend loves at all times.."

in fact, most people doesn't really have a TRUE BEST FRIEND. instead, people claim themselves as a best friend but they act like let's-separate-after-the-fight method. [maybe i did that somehow.. sorry. huhu..]

well actually, i don't know if there's a true friend in this world that has a call-you-after-the-fight act.
don't you think so?
many articles spreading around about this friendship thing, but none of them has really applied in life, especially when u're having this deep friendship with someone.

i just want to share this matter.. i need maybe a lot of opinion about this.
i don't really get it, is there any true everlasting best friendship after all?
or everything is set up that people will come and go in our life?
oh stupid question maybe.
all happens within His great plan..

but the thing is, is hard for me to trust someone that i-about-to-claim as a best friend...

1. Chocolate Cake.

any kind, anytime. my mouth will always accept this yummy dessert! don't you think soo??
hee. hee.
my favorite one is the banana chocolate cake from Secret Recipe. well, you should try. i recommend this one, it's definitely tasty!!
a simple solid fudge, covered with thin chocolate melt, and banana layered inside. serve cold, and you'll see what i mean with 'super yummy' !
chocolate cake always makes me fly away... even if i'm sad, just have this one piece, i'll be much happier.. i often have this kind of therapy for a mood boost. hoho. maybe it's just a thought of mine, but it always brings me cheerful feelings afterwards. so why don't you try? doing your fave things, lay back, relax, and enjoy a piece of the yummiest chocolate cake!!
let's boost!! hee. hee.

2. Sushi

i bet everyone knows this beautifully made japanese food.
yes, it's sushi.
maybe some people just feeling disgusted or even sick with this raw fishes served on top of a japanese rice bun.
don't you know, those fish are real fresh, and it'll stay fresh for at least a couple of hours, because the fermented rice keeps the fishes stay freshen longer.
well, it cost you some more IDR to eat qualified sushis here in Indonesia.
thus, sometimes i just love to indulge my self, spoiling and celebrate my self with this sushi thing. oh, of course, wasabi time! hihihihi.
[my faves are avocado and salmon sushis. hee. heeh.]

3. Chocolate Muffin

hey hey! can't say any word.
choc muffin is always great! hoho. especially ones served with hot melted chocolate outside, and choc chips. geez! i'm going crazy.. huaaaaa.
and this pic is soooo mouth watering! oh geez....
see the strawberries, syrup and whipped cream....
aaaaaaaaa..... i'm just imagining how it tastes like!!!!! xixixixixiii......
nyummy. nyummy.

4. Ice Cream

who can ever resist this indulging scoops.........
oh geez. this is the second cheering food after the chocolate cake.
i love anykind of icecream. original, gelatos, even artificial [not healthy of course].
love these flavors :
- chocolate [absolutely!]
- chocolate chip [another absolute one]
- strawberry
- rum raisin [mostly great everywhere, even if you're trying new brands]
- green tea
- durian [sometimes..]

mostly those flavors are 'true' ones, other than those, some are artificial flavors, such rainbows, bubblegums, etc. [those with bright artificial colours]
if you ask me, where vanilla and mocha goes? doesn't everyone loves those flavors?
naah. i hate vanillas. smell too milky. yay.

5. Chocolate Fondue

yum yum.. it's sooo easy to make this thing. it's super yummy and healthy!
trust me, chocolate makes you happy, and fruits makes you healthy. hee hee.
in some restos, they serve this fondue in a hot chocolate fountain. wooohhoo. it's more fun. u just have to 'shower' your foods [usually they use biscuits and marshmallows, but i'd prefer fruits, it tastes perfect! sweet chocs with sweet and sour fruits. nyum!]
you should try to make this at home. just melt the chocolate. and start your dipping...dip here..dip there.. spread all over! yay.. i love it! hihihi.

6. Yoghurt and Banana

wohoo! this is my fave combination for breakfast!
i always eat yoghurt and banana each morning.. always.
so, see, these healthy combination really boost me up.
adequate energy and calories till lunch time, and sometimes even more!
sometimes if i had extra fruits at home, i just include them into my yoghurt. most fave are strawberries. but still, banana is a must.
banana is my all time favourite fruit. since i was a baby, i always lurrrvvvvvv banana!! oh this powerful fruit is really superb!

This Guy i'm Talkin' About..

i'm going to share something that really makes me jo’oy fulll..... today.... hahahahaha.
let's see.
frankly, these days been hard for me, couple of problems is attacking somehow.
hoho this morning is kinda BIG smile on my face. BIG blush on my cheek as well, actually. ahahaha.
the thing is, finally i talked with someone who's really been my inspiration these years..
oh yeah, it's a HE.
hee. hee. he's not a crush, he's not a lover or such kinds, he's just someone i admire, someone has been my inspiration in music genre, singing technique [well, i can’t really sing like him, since he’s a guy. Huahahaha.], and in my spiritual growth also.
We chit.. chat.. on facebook at first, then I tried to add him on IM, but for couple of days I added him already [he’s just approved my request immediately after that] I just have no courage to say hi or even talk to him. Don’t know why.
This morning, I just got dizzy maybe, [ahahaha] when I saw him online, then I dare my self just to say hi and give him a greeting anyway.
I did.
Well, when I told him who am I, he replied me. “this is Justine, the gurl with the blog, right?”
And yes, we started to have a bit chit chat there.
Oh I blushed. I blushed.
Sasaaaaaaaaa !! - she’s a friend of mine that knows this guy pretty well. I’m gonna bring her agony!! Hahahahahahaha.
She knows I like him a lot, and told her that I’m feeling like going to faint in fact that I can talk to this guy…
Hahaha. She LoLs and LoLs. And the thing is, she told him bout this ‘faint’ thing.
Geez. I blush a lot… I’m telling you, a lot.
I was kinda smiling and had this huge smile on my face. And I was at the office! Thank God no one seen me.. or they’ll think I’m having a mental disorder. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
After all, I think he’s a nice person.. he’s just an easy going person.. it’s been a great time to talk to him. Hee hee. I’m still feeling a bit jumpy here. Hihihihiihi.
I’m hoping this chat thing will work more for me, so that if somehow I have a chance to talk to this favorite guy of mine, I’ll stand still and wont faint. LoLs!!

1st, Jesus Christ. Of course I lurrrvvvvv Him.. He’s my creator, my only saviour!
2nd, Johnny Depp. Hmm. He’s not that cute, not that handsome or something. But I like his style, the way he act, I like him a lot!!
3rd, This guy I’m talking about. I love his voice. I love his singing style. I just admire him. A lot.
4th, David Cook. Of courseeeeeee……… I loooveeee his voice. Good looking as well. Hee hee hee hee.
5th, Tora Sudiro. Don’t ask. You know he’s that cute! And he’s definitely hilarious!! LoLs.

Overall, I really thank God, thanking His great joy upon me, a small thing that He knows would convince me that God loves me however bad I am. Convince me how He’s a joyful God when we’re in a most grieve. Praise the Lord!!

waa... another picture i took at Dufan at that time (same day as the merry go round one)
it was kinda hard to take the perfect angle actually.
it swung and swung all over again, well since my camera can't capture moving objects,
so maybe this one doesn't look really maximum. but i still like it. hehehe.
for you guys who doesn't know what kind of ride is this, this is a swinging boat we called 'kora-kora' - i don't know what this mean, it's still feels weird for me.
well, it was my favourite at one time, but now it's kinda boring to ride a huge boat that takes u swing and swinging till your tummy feels wanna spread out. huehehehe.
it's not that the nauseous thing that makes me bored, but i'd found those more interesting rides...more scary and challenging ones huehehehehe.
what i like from this pic is how we can see the atmosphere where people is screaming over the boat - sorry if details doesn't work here, you should see the real pixels tho. hehe.

GMB New Formation

some of us might know these news already, well, just share a little bit.
you guys must have notice the Indonesian well known Christian band, GMB (Giving My Best) ?
yap! from JPCC.
a little news from them, this June they'll launch their newest album, in a new band formation.
well, a bit shocking for me personally, because Sidney as the vocalist, stepped out from GMB and now the new vocalist for GMB is Bams-Samsons.

well, i'm not judging Bams, but there's a bit missing-Sydney-weird-acceptance-for Bams thing.
hee. hee.
we know.. Bams is a celeb-kind person, many negative gossips around him.
oh, i miss Sydney. he's just adorable. hihihi.
well, people comes and goes, changes are weird, and hard to accept sometimes.
but we can't just compare Sydney and Bams, and hoping for Bams to replace Sydney's charm.
never will. but i'm sure, Bams has his own style, His own charm to be a worship leader.
we should see His great growth in the future..
maybe Bams will follow Sydney as a Youth Pastor? we'll see..

yup. the irony between His death and our lives.

for me personally, this song really reminds me, how small i am..
anything good within me is not me, it's GOD.

i'm amused with this last paragraph..
it really shows how huge is His great love..
and nothing really matters, nothing is too hard with His love provides us..

it's time to learn about our generous God..
what i mean with this is in fact, God talks more about giving thank about heaven or hell.
see what He means about giving?

we're created as His character, and we're formed to be like Christ.
our God is a generous God.
even if we sins all the time, make Him disappointed, He still gives us the air to breathe.. He keeps providing us so we can eat each day..
that's small part of His generousness.

what i learn from here is, what you reap is what you sow.

so, instead of thinking WHY ME LORD?
then we should turn our mind a bit up side down..

everybody knows Merry-Go-Round. it's one of my all time favorite ride.
except for those who's afraid of heights..
well, this one is from Dufan, Jakarta, as you can see, not as big as what we can see in Malaysia or elsewhere that has larger one.
i still enjoy this sea view Merry-Go-Round, which i adore this big wheel since i was a kid.
it's kinda pathetic when i rode it, i saw some maintenance is not really well done you know, well i'm not talking about safety, but talking about aesthetic and tidiness.
for 10 years i haven't seen any significant change from this ride. anything. even the paint doesn't change!
ahm. call me idealist. but you guys must agree that we really need refreshment on the design, maintenance and environtment.
see how those foliages covers up the beauty.
oh. people is really neglecting about eyes' needs of aesthetics...
i took this before i went home at that time, about evening.. i don't remember the actual time..

this time i want to share one of my passion, photography. which i got a sip of knowledge from the major i took before.
well, i might be extremely amateur, but i have a passion in it, to learn more further about this.
i want to share my photo art, for the first time actually.. and i'll tell you the story about each, which can speak more than you can ever imagine..

this piece is kind of my favorite.
i took this one at Beijing, China.
i don't remember exactly where the place is,
but surely i like this one.
it was winter there, and i had the 'cold' feeling at that time,
so i caught up something that brings me peace and warmth,
while i heard birds singing, it was early morning, then it came to this portrait of view.

well, americans voted right this time. i'm not saying archuleta is not good, but he's just a good singer. yet, cook has his own rock style, with that kinda voice.. ahm.. i'm imagining if i have a date like him.. maybe i'll faint before he sez he loves me. LoLs!!

well, actually i'm not into these idol thingy, but from the first time i saw David Cook sang the song "Always be My Baby" by Mariah Carey, i just fell in love with him..

Youth Bungur's 41st Anniversary

May 17, 2008 – was a big day for us (my church’s youth community). This is the day we celebrated the 41^st anniversary of our youth. And a specially big day to me, since I’m alone was the event coordinator.

i attached couple of our pictures, not all of them, but I’m gonna tell about the pics one by one.

Just for info, we celebrated the ‘birthday ceremony’ with games and others at the church first (the game resulted a bit awkward by the way -- hee hee hee. but we had so much fun that time..), then we went to an orphanage at Kelapa Gading called Pondok Kasih Sejahtera (from the ministry of Hand of Hope). So, just enjoy the story!

both of them are group games.
the first game, one of our group member had to draw something that written in a paper that we drew before. this first game that i said ended up a bit awkward in the drawing theme. haha. but it's fun because of its awkwardness. hee. hee. hee.
the second game, 2 of our group members have to practically show to others about what they're doing without any words. just body language. hee hee. and that was fun too!!

and this is the 5th group that won the prize!

Karawaci

This time, I’m gonna share my story about the day I went to karawaci with my boyfriend. actually, we went there for a refreshment and a lovely reunion-visit-kind-of hehehehe. since i took my major there, at Pelita Harapan University and i just graduated on january 2007. missing my fellas, so i decided to take my hunny there and have a 45 minute trip from my house by car.

The image above shows meals that we had for lunch that time.

The yummy-lookin yellow thingy was mine. It’s called baked rice with cheese. Oh gosh. U can really imagine the taste from the name already! It’s sooooo cheesy! Oh. I still can remember how the cheese sensation melt in my mouth (and to my heart directly! Hee. Hee.)… it was served on a dim sum bamboo container and has the aluminum foil before the food. IT WAS SO FREAKING YUMMY!!

Sorry to my dear, I cant really remember what did you order, hun. The beef and corn thingy with broccolis? Cant remember. Since I was way too excited to enjoy my cheesy rice (with chopped chicken inside.. LoLs!).

It was our meal at the mal, Supermal Karawaci. And the restaurant name is Food and Tea. Oh, I forgot about those big tea “vase” (ha ha). Those are our drinks. The left one was mine. It’s an apple green tea. And again, it has a really refreshing taste! And his tea, was a common lemon tea. Nothing really special. hee hee. (he was thirsty anyway, so when this pic was taken, his drink was half left. Oh my dear.)

Well, this resto has a Cantonese food style. Hongkong style exactly. Well, I think the cheesy rice was way much better that what my deary had. Overall, it was a soothing environment we had there. It was not bad at all. We spent about 70 IDR for our lunch.

Yeah.. pretty pricey i know. But for us, this was a quite good value to have.

Well maybe you can go there and try ordering some more menus. Tell me then!

Maybe some of you questioning how does my boyfriend look like actually, well, I attached a picture of us that was taken there, at the resto while we were waiting for the meal to be served (sorry hun, you’re a bit blurry.. hee hee hee).

we had so much fun there, (afterall, at the evening we went to the Pancake Parlour and had some pancakes. geez.. it made us FULL to top. our hunt ends up on the fullness factor. ha ha ha)

well, now i'm working in an advertising company, and this new job of mine, really conducts my creativity to browse all over world's commercials.
either it's print ad, or it's tV ad.
oh, talking about advertising agency, try open www.leoburnett.com, www.jwt.com and www.BBDO.com.
those are world biggest agencies, they have awesome web layouts i found. not just the layouts, they have great artworks of advertising.
creativity is really 'urgent' here if i could say.
this is my first time to work in an advertising agency, well, i really found it interesting in projects and ideas.
soon, i'll release my artwork here. at least my portfolios from school..
well, please define me things about art. anything... music, advertising, fine art, design, etc...

· Successful people master their moods – They live by their commitments, not their emotions. They do the right thing, even when they don’t feel like it. “A person without self-control is as defenseless as a city with broken-down walls” (Proverbs 25:28 NLT).

· Successful people watch their words – They put their minds in gear before opening their mouths: “Those who control their tongue will have a long life ….” (Proverbs 13:3 NLT).

· Successful people restrain their reactions – How much can you take before you lose your cool? “People with good sense restrain their anger; they earn esteem by overlooking wrongs” (Proverbs 19:11 NLT).

· Successful people stick to their schedule – If you don’t determine how you will spend your time, you can be sure that others will decide for you! “So be careful how you live, not as fools but as those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days” (Ephesians 5:15-16, NLT).

· Successful people manage their money – They learn to live on less than what they make, and they invest the difference. The value of a budget is that it tells your money where you want it to go rather than wondering where it went: “The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get” (Proverbs 21:20 NLT).

· Successful people maintain their health – That way they can accomplish more and enjoy their achievements: “… control your body and live in holiness and honor” (1 Thessalonians 4:4 NLT).

Now, where do you need to develop self-control?

The disciplines you establish today will determine your success tomorrow. But it takes more than just willpower for lasting self-control. It takes a power greater than yourself. Think about this promise from the Bible: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline” (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT).

The more I accept God’s control over my life, the more self-control he gives me!

Sepuluh Manfaat Teh Bagi Tubuh
