Never let snacking wipe out all of your hard-earned diet results in less than a few minutes flat.
By planning ahead, you can satisfy your stomach with snacks that are practically calorie-free. Here are 10 to get you started.
Hard-boiled egg
Snacking on one of these isn't hard to crack. Hard-boiled eggs are easy to prepare, and they provide an excellent supply of protein. Since protein fills you up, you don't have to worry about empty calories in this 78-calorie snack. well, personally, i dont really like boiled eggs.. somehow it smells yucky for me..
Jell-O Brand Fat Free Pudding Snacks
Craving something sweet that won't totally derail your diet? At 100 calories a pop, these creamy treats taste like the real deal. Plus, they're fat free. love it!
String cheese
One stick of this childhood favorite is about 80 calories. And besides being a good source of calcium, they're just plain fun to eat. Watch the fat content of the cheese stick you choose, however.
Two tablespoons of hummus spread on 1/4 slice of pita pocket bread
Though it's low in calories and fat, this snack is big on Mideastern flavor, making snacking so much less monotonous. Prepare the whole pita pocket bread and cut into fourths, for several days' worth of snacks.
Nabisco 100 Calorie Packs
These low-cal snacks are all about portion control. Whether you prefer Mini Wheat Thins, Honey Maid Cinnamon Thin Crisps, savory Ritz variety packs or Kraft Cheese Nips, Nabisco has a choice for whatever you crave. Depending on which you choose, the carbs vary from 15 to 20 grams and the fat from 2 to 3 grams.
Kiddie-size frozen yogurt
Just because you're on a diet doesn't mean you have to give up ice cream. oh yes it's my big fave!! When the craving hits, try a three-ounce serving of frozen yogurt. It'll only cost you 78 calories and is 96 percent fat free. see?
One cup of strawberries, topped with Cool Whip
Strawberries make for a great snack on their own, but toss a spoonful of Cool Whip on top, and you'll be in sweet-tooth heaven. And at 58 calories, the combo comes with virtually no guilt. oh geez. i'm drooling.
Half an apple with caramel dip
Don't wait for Halloween to sink your teeth into a candied apple. *yum* This snack carries just 80 calories and makes for a good family treat, as well as a great snack for you.
One cup of minestrone soup
Soup isn't usually considered to be part of the snack-food category, but, at 83 calories per cup, there is no reason it can't be. Make the whole can and make sure to limit yourself to single-cup servings.
One bowl of instant oatmeal
Sticking to low-calorie snacks doesn't mean you always have to limit your portions. An entire packet of instant oatmeal is only 100 calories. Just make sure you use water, not milk, and don't add spoonfuls of sugar.
now get set and boost your energy without feeling guilty!

Sunday Lunch : Penang Bistro.
last sunday me and my guy (i dont know why i like to call him that way here) went to a malay restaurant, at Kebon Sirih for lunch.
it's called Penang Bistro. it's a common fusion asian culinary actually.
well, it was our first time there (he was curious and kinda persuaded me to go there. hahahaha)
for us, we could say... ummm.. good service, average price (for such great ambience and tastes), and an awesome ambience they have there.
here are some pics i took there, but unfortunately i forgot to bring my camera, so i just took it with some phone cam - 2 mp. not too bad after i edited them a bit.
geez. the rice bun is so... 'tiny'.. poor baby, he can't be full wt that portion.
this is the 'mayonnaise prawn'. geez. it's totally odally yummy!
cant stop eating.
the prawn was quite large in size, and tastes really creamy.. yumm..
this is the great ambience i was talking about.
the lights, the views, see, those grey walls are stone made, and there's water falling smoothly on it, so you can imagine how was the breeze we enjoyed there..
this is the 'malay clay pot chicken curry' we ordered.
served on a small hot stove. no more words, perfectly yum yum!!
ok.. i bet you guys are getting hungry right now.... hohohoho.
so.. just try to go there, and hang with your closest fellows.
i recommend this, gorgeous place to eat!
